November 15th

i was woken by Patrik at nine. I said goodbye to him, took a photo of him posing with jim, and then exchanged emails. he also told me to "come visit him in canada, eh"

I had a shower and a shave and then put on some fresh clothes. I then walked to the train station and sorted out my ticket for Frankfurt for tomorrow. turns out i will need to change trains 4 times. Should be a fun day ahead of me tomorrow.

I then made my way to the supermarket and for the first time on my journey i did some shopping. i bought some bread, jam, ham, cheese and various other sandwich things. this should keep me going for a few days, and it was pretty cheap too. unusual for denmark.

I eventually, after about an hour of searching, found a souvenier shop and bought a small version of the little mermaid for natalie. . on my way back to the hostel the strangest thing happened. I bumped into the hungarian woman i had met in Roveniemi and then seen again in helsinki.

We stood and had a chat for a few minutes, it turns out that she is staying in the same hostel as i am for tonight. she is gettting the train back to hungary early tomorrow morning, she has been forced to cut her holiday short because of family troubles or something. I just found this to bew astrange coincedence. We agreed to see each other back at the hostel later in the day and then i made my way back.

I was back at the hostel at one. I made myself some lunch (ate it in the bedroom as they have no kitchen), then made my way downstairs.

I sat in front of the TV, read my book and then when the other people had vacated the area, i changed the channels untill found some things that i liked. I sat watching blazing saddles for a while, it had danish subtitles but it was in english. It has been a while since i last saw this film and it was nice to see it again, i had forgotten a majority of it. especially the bit where mongo punches the horse.

After the film i remained in the lounge, a large group of german schoolchildren had entered the lobby and were making a lot of noise whilst their teachers checked them in. As i could no longer hear the TV i read my book for a while longer, i then drew a picture.

when the schoolchildren had left, i returned to the TV and watched will and grace. I dont like will and grace, but this was actually really funny. I have a feeeling that the reason i found it so funny was because i hadnt seen a comedy program in to weeks.

i then sat on one of the comfortable chairs and planned the next few days of travel. i made some dramatic changes to my original plans, i have now decided to go to Greece. something which i did not originally intend to do.

it was soon evening, i had made myself some more food and then returned to read the end of my book. there was football on the television now and germany were beating cyprus 1-ö. I felt myself drifting off to sleep during the game so i made my way to bed.
